| 2 | 1837 | - 1837: Rebellions in Upper and Lower Canada are put down by government troops. The rebel leaders, Louis-Joseph Papineau of Lower Canada and William Lyon Mackenzie of Upper Canada, are forced to flee to the United States.
McKenzie along with the Hunter lodges in the USA stir up the Americans to attack at Windmill in Prescott, Ontario. They were mostly captured and along with previous rebels sent to Tasmania. Some of the leaders were hung.
